Fall Hydrangeas

Come November the South Shore Art center in Cohasett will exhibit their annual Holiday Show. This year they have asked the gallery artists to paint on 12x12" canvases. Above is one of 4 paintings that I will be submitting.

I'm not a big fan of cookies, much more of a candy girl, but I just can't resist Peggy Lawton's. It doesn't help either that they're always near the check out counter.  So, here's to Peggy!

5 Minute Paintings

Last night was the first night of class. Seeing we all took the summer off we needed an exercise to get us moving again. The students started by doing 5 minute paintings with big brushes and limited brushstrokes. Check out these fantastic results below! 

Midnight Snack

I'm settling into the fall season in my studio working on a series of small still lives. I hope this one brings back a few memories. After all, when's the last time you actually enjoyed Cookies and Milk?

So, this is day 2 of my new blog. Still figuring it all out.
I spent a great deal of time this spring and summer going back to "all things vintage".  Attached is one of a series of vintage inspired paintings (24x36). Today It is off to the J. Todd Gallery in Wellesley.

Welcome to my new long overdue painting blog. "Stripes" is just one of the many beach people I painted this summer along with vintage bathing suits and lots of still lifes.
