Hazards of working outside

So I worked on this painting for 3 hours. Took it off the easel and put it down on the sidewalk while closing up my easel. In less than a minute a huge truck came by and blew sand and pebbles all over it. Thought I was going to cry. Waited for it to dry and like magic everything brushed right off.  There are however a few marks here and there but it adds to the rustic feel.

Daily Painting - The Picnic table

So, trying to get out of the studio as much as possible and paint outside. limiting my time to 2 hours and limiting my palette to 4 colors plus white.  I'm also trying not to travel too far and pick something close by that jumps out at me. This day it was the morning light around the picnic table.
