Tree Obsession

Absolutely love this time of year. The bare trees with little bits of leftover color and glimpses of sunlight sneaking through are amazingly poetic.

Russian Inspiration

After visiting the Russian art gallery in Scottsdale,  I couldn't wait to come home and paint still lives. The Russian artists I saw incorporated lots of texture and pattern and I hoped to do the same in the paintings below.

Where There's a Will, There's a Way

Painting plein air in Scottsdale Arizona with no easel? No problem. I taped a small picture easel and cardboard to a tree and used the intersecting space of the trees to hold my brush cleaner.
